In the Michigan Chronicle
The article in a nutshell is writer Jones commenting about by African American technologist Larry Irving article, "Falling Through the Net." She wants to explain that there is a gap from the have and have nots.
Jones does a pretty good job organizing her argument. She starts off about how she was asked to talk at a conference. Jones is an african american and describes in the article in how her people have been perished by the digital divide that is occurring. After a little background, she goes into why she is talking about the issue of digital divide by talking about Larry Irving's article. She goes on to give the reader statistics and information on this issue that most don't understand or know about. She then goes on say what challenges that the urban communities need to do to improve.

Reading and Learning Disabled Children: Understanding the Problem
by: Don Martin, Magy Martin, and Kathleen Carvalho
-many of the authors of the article are professors or students from higher schools.
-written in 2008.
Within the article, it describs how through studies and research, how teachers, medical people and everyone can understand the effects and the issues dealing with children who have reading or learning disabilities. Giving insight also to people that don't know how to deal with having people in their lives that have these disabilities.
The article is split up with having an intro at first. right after, there is the background so people can understand the issues that are being brought up. After that part of the article, the reader goes on and reads about the emotional issues for nonreaders. then it goes to the neurological learning factors. which talks about how the brain is not functioning the way is should and talks about how one does function with the disability. The next paragraph goes on to talk about how people can take an approach to this problem and then right after that paragraph is talking about the social pychological affects that we have to remember that are happening to the children who deal with this. the last paragraph is talking about how teachers can do to deal with having children with disabilities in their classrooms.
I believe that the literature review is well organized in this article and is needed. The article shows much information and data that proves their purpose of why the viewers should read it. It's informing and and shows relevant information to the readers.

Databases
searching on the library page, i first put in technology divide to see what results i got. I remember from a worksheet that we did in class. i went to the database list and read threw some and decided what would or wouldn't work for me and my project. i came across CQ Researcher database. i put in my topic in the search and got many results, i got around 30 results. there was many from different years so i can look at the older articles and also see the present day articles to see if there was any new changes that occured.
The databases i believe are very helpful. you get to have general ones or very specific databases that can help everyone. its easier to narrow down your search with the specific databases.
After fumbling around with the google tricks, i liked using the google scholar by far. i didn't really know that google had it. its a big help having it there so one can find higher education material. i got different results from using the * and ~ too.
